after our first releases with rough limited we decided to start a new vinyl only series - the * rough cutz*. its a huge package form artists we really like and we support with this special 4 track ep on vinyl. it includes tracks of our friends from hannover max & dennis aka. zweimannzelt, our close friends from toronto mark & jeff aka. toronto hustle - who did also one remix for us before, our longest family member weber from heidelberg who had the debut to release the first ep on rough recordings and last but not least tobi danton the second part of rough recordings & rough limited. enjoy!

japanese producer mahal, who had his debut on rhr 006, releases his first solo 12inch with the deep and dubby single, ongaku. on remix duties are notorious lady blacktronika (uq, sound black) and rhr regular, hvl. both offer mesmerizing and addictive interpretations of the original track.

embezzlement society takes us back to the early days of 80s hip-hop with his ‘rough quarters ep. on his record the man from belfast heavily relies on funk-based drum loops as were popular in the glorious days of old school hip-hop. the results are two super casual tracks with a cool hip-house attitude just perfect for hip-house lover drei farben house who took the chance to contribute a remix in his slick and smooth style, merging the raw drums with some tender rhodes. tenderpark regular roman rauch finishes off the ep and slows down the tempo in his remix concentrating on the originals of the samples and displaying his mastery with the mpc once more. as always all tracks have been mastered and cut by helmut erler at dubplates & mastering.

the third installment of silent movie sounds series features music from four producers each delivering a different cut of deep, hypnotic music. japanese artist mituo shiomi is a regular on simoncino s hotmix records. he kicks off the va with a mesmerizing house track. fresh from his ep on fina records, detroit-based producer appian contributes a thumping track to this 12inch. russian producer alex danilov returns to rhr with a love story to acid. last but not least, the chicagobased coowner of perpetual rhythms, nick marshall aka taelue closes the ep with a deep and emotional track with a solid kick and smooth synth lines.

rough house rosie dedicates the sixth release to its japanese listeners with a four track compilation from four different japanese producers. legendary takayuki shiraishi (aka planetoid) releases a track nightfall which was first out in 2002 on a cd slow shoutin . he is teamed up with mitsuaki komamura renowned for his unique sound on record label weedis. miruga (ethereal sound / badance) delivers a strong deep track on b1, while mahal has his debut with a catchy bass driven tune as a final track of the ep.
